A 20^th century betel box made of teak wood is of the style that is unique to north Thailand (H=22 cm). It is square supported by four legs. Carved geometric designs decorate the exterior. The interior is divided in to small compartments for the ingredients; the other half is for the betel leaves, cutter, lime container, and mortar.
