A 19th century Lai Nam Thong spittoon used by royalty for betel chewing. The decoration includes gold and red flowers intercepted by leafy, green vines on a white background, the whole is enclosed by gold rings, a broad white band with gold flowers and twisted green vine in a scroll pattern at the mouth and foot. The interior is white glazed.
