A fine-quality water (“toh”) jar that probably dates to the reign of King Rama II (1809-1824). The decoration on the body includes small red medallions, a yellow frame, and Thepanoms alternating with pink lions, a white band with pink dots at the mouth and lower body; a red fire pattern outlined in yellow against a soft blue background; a red band with a yellow floral pattern at the mouth and the lower body; a yellow band with a red and blue motif and a blue ring around the foot.The cover has a slightly out-turned rim with a white band and pink dots; the main body of the cover has red medallions, a yellow frame, and white flowers alternating with pink lions; the knob is made up of four tiers (the lower one is very broad) with alternating red and white bands separated by green rings; the knob is a double lotus bud (one yellow and one red).
