This late 19th century cup is decorated with blue frames of medallions containing a pink peony surrounded by blue and pink clusters of buds, large pink peonies with leaves outside the frame on a white background, thick red-orange rings and yellow bands with a floral scroll at the upper and lower body; a double row of broadly painted pink petals outlined in red cover the lower body below the yellow band and the foot. The interior is white glazed with an unglazed ring at the mouth, indicating that this piece originally had a cover.
