Decoration on this 19th century bowl includes green-olive medallions, a pink and green frame and Thepanoms alternating with Garudas, a multi-colored twisting stem pattern, a blue band with lotus seeds enclosed by yellow rings, a green band with a pink exotic cotton leaf pattern, a yellow ring at the foot and a broad solid red band around the foot. The interior is white glazed with a green-olive band with a red and green floral scroll enclosed by yellow rings on the upper body, a band of orange-red with pink lotus seeds at the mouth. The mouth rim is banded in metal. |
