A pedestal bowl of an unusual shape, probably mid- to late-18th century. The broad mouth has a lip that turns inward. The body is decorated with red medallions and a pink and white frame with Thepanoms alternating with Norasinghs and a red halo, and a pink and white flame motif on a black background; a yellow ring on the upper pedestal and on the upper body; a broad pink band with a key fret pattern around the mouth and a solid brown band on the lip; a green band with a pink floral scroll on the pedestal. |
