Bencharong (000027) [bj-064.1] Covered Bowl The Jim Thompson Museum Collection

A 19th century covered bowl (diam=??? Cm). The all-over pattern on bowl and cover includes peonies, lotus, and chrysanthemums, and green leaves on a gold background; a band of gold with a floral motif around the mouth of the bowl and the rim of the cover; a band of green on the foot and top of the cover; the inside of the top is painted red. The top of the cover and the mouth of the bowl are banded in metal.
