Covered Bowl

A mid-19th century covered bowl (diam=11.4 cm). The all-over pattern includes: pink and white flower and green leaves terminating in a small white flower on a gold background; a solid band of blue around the foot; a gold band with a flower and leaf design around the mouth of the bowl and the base of the neck and the rim on the cover. The cover is decorated with a less-detailed flower (red) and leaf scroll-like pattern. The top of the cover and the mouth of the bowl are banded in metal.
