Urn; ht. 32 cm; mid-11^th century; brown monochrome. With conical body, broad shoulder, flaring mouth and rim, and flat base; band of incised 'X's around shoulder rim. Grey clay with reddish tinges; grey slip applied over clay; olive to caramel coloured glaze with visible brush strokes.
