A typical 20^th century betel set made of brass from Malaysia (L=17 cm). It is a rectangular box supported by four short legs. An abstract arabesque motif is cut through the brass on the box. The interior of the box is fitted with a removable tray divided into compartments, five round brass boxes with covers for individual ingredients, and a cutter, all of brass. Sometimes leaves are stored under the tray.
