A modern container for lime made from the trunk of a bamboo tree (H=15.5 cm). The long, narrow cylinder has a plug at the base. The surface has been sanded to a smooth finish. A stylized geometric design was cut in to the surface of the bamboo and defined by applying a dark-colored vegetable dye to the incised area.
